Pinterest Growth Challenge, Week 2

Pinterest Growth Challenge, Week 2

Making Progress, One Pin at a Time
Pinterest Challenge – Week 2: Content Creation & SEO

Welcome to Week 2 of the Pinterest Challenge! If you’re here, that means you’ve made it through the first week and you’re already building great momentum—yay, you! 🎉 Or maybe you just found us and you're seeing what this challenge is all about! Check out WEEK ONE of the Pinterest Challenge and catch up with us!

This week is all about taking action, even in small, manageable steps. Whether you're promoting your blog, your products, or just building a presence, the goal is to keep things doable, not overwhelming. I designed this challenge to fit into real life—not a fantasy world where we have endless time and zero distractions (because, let’s be honest, that world doesn’t exist for most of us!).

Here’s your roadmap for the week:

Day 8: Create and Publish Your First Pin

It’s time to go live! 🎯 Today, publish your very first pin that links to either a blog post or a product. Don’t overthink it—use a Canva template, pick your best content, and get it out into the world. If you've already been using Pinterest, then just publish your first pin using one of your new Canva templates!

Day 9: Research Keywords

Use Pinterest’s search bar to explore what people are searching for in your niche. Make a list of those relevant keywords—this will help your content actually get found. (Pro tip: Start typing your topic and note what auto-fills!)

Day 10: Optimize Old Pins

Take a few of your older pins and sprinkle in those keywords you discovered. Update titles and descriptions to boost visibility and breathe new life into your old content.  Don't have old content? Take this time to post a few new pins then!

Day 11: Create and Schedule 3 Pins

Using your Canva templates, design and schedule three new pins. You’re building a system here—one that works even when you're off living your life! Try posting one today and scheduling 2 more for the next couple days.

Day 12: Add Pinnable Images to Your Site

Go back to your old blog posts or products and add fresh, pinnable images. Then, pin them! It’s a great way to drive more traffic to your evergreen content.

Day 13: Create a “Best of Your Business” Board

Gather your most loved, shared, or high-performing content and give it a home on a special Pinterest board. This will become a go-to spot for your new followers to binge your best work.

Day 14: A/B Test Your Pin Designs

Design two different pin styles for the same product or post, and see which one performs better. It’s a fun and easy way to start learning what your audience clicks on most.  You won't see results right away.  Make note to come back and check out those pins next week and next month!

Let’s Talk About Real Life for a Second…

With the holiday weekend coming up, I want to pause and say this: It’s OK to take a break. This challenge is meant to be simple, fun, and realistic. As a business owner and a mom, I totally understand what it feels like to be at max capacity. 🙋♀️

So, I’m pressing pause for the holiday to catch up on work and be more present with my daughter. If you’re feeling the same, know that this space was made for you too. Don’t strive for perfection—aim for progress. Even baby steps move you forward. 💕

Keep going at your own pace, and I’ll see you back here after Memorial Day for Week 3!
